Jason Russell

Managing Director

Role

Jason Russell is a Managing Director and serves as head of Industrial Technology within PJ SOLOMON's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group. He joined the firm in 2017. He has over 15 years of experience as both an investment banker and industry professional.

Experience

Mr. Russell has extensive experience advising clients across the TMT and Industrial landscape on M&A and capital market transactions. He has a particular focus on products and services at the intersection of these two large and global sectors. His sector expertise includes: industrial software (supply chain, manufacturing, identification), automated machinery (robotics, advanced manufacturing), vehicle systems (telematics, artificial intelligence, cyber security), and smart home and building solutions.

Mr. Russell recently advised Körber AG on its acquisition of HighJump Software, a leading US-based supply chain technology and cloud solutions specialist; Michelin on its €520 million acquisition of Sascar, Brazil's largest digital fleet management company; Vivint, a leader smart home technologies, on its $2 billion sale to Blackstone; Eaton on its $290 million sale of its Aerospace Power Distribution and Integrated Cockpit Solutions businesses to Safran; and ADT on its $500 million acquisition of Protectron.

Prior to joining PJ SOLOMON, Mr. Russell worked at Citi as an investment banker and Lear Corporation as quality manager and engineer.

Not-for-Profit Affiliations

Mr. Russell is a coach for Scarsdale's Kindergarten to Grade 2 Basketball Clinic. He is also an assistant leader for Boy Scouts of America.

Education

Mr. Russell received an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan, where he graduated with distinction, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University.
