PJ SOLOMON’s Head of Infrastructure Tim Bath was in Denver last week to speak at the inaugural GAD Americas conference.

Launched in Europe in 1994, GAD is widely considered today’s leading airport strategy and finance event . The conference series brings together owners, operators, investors, advisors and municipal decision makers within the international airport business development and finance community. Topics of discussion range from the project and investment pipeline, macro trends and global best practices from a public and private perspective.

Speaking on the panel, "Considerations for financing airport development in the long term," Tim offered the following comment: "The volume and tone of discussions we're having with airports around the country is significantly greater and significantly more positive than it was two years ago."

Clay McCoy, a VP within the Infrastructure Group, also served as a panelist, focused on the keys to making airport P3s successful.

PJSC CEO Marc S. Cooper to Participate in The Deal's live webcast, "M&A at the Board Level: Driving Shareholder Value" - Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1pmET

PJSC CEO Marc S. Cooper will participate in the panel discussion "M&A at the Board Level: Driving Shareholder Value" hosted by The Deal on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1pmET. This is a live webcast, which can be viewed by registering online.

More and more M&A is being driven by activists seeking strategic reviews of companies they target. Among the first steps activists take is to campaign for the ability to replace directors they see as over-tenured or too close to management. Activists are also increasingly demanding strategic board panels, which critics say create a bias for action, including a sale of the business.

Mr. Cooper will be joined by James A. Mitarotonda, Chairman of the Board, President, CEO, Barington Capital Group and Derek Zaba, Partner, CamberView Partners. This expert roundtable will address a range of questions that arise from the challenging circumstances in which these demands often place management and board.
